Opening night of the Valley Springs Friends of the Library’s annual melodrama fundraiser, “Lillie’s Lament or Heaven’s Gate Can Wait.” Doors open at 6 p.m., chicken-in-a-barrel dinner starts at 6:45 and the show begins at 7:30, Veterans Memorial Hall, Daphne and Pine streets, Valley Springs.
